Pizza, Pizza
Tonight was homemade pizza night. I used the No Knead Pizza crust from the NY Times and the Sullivan Street bakery....and it was great. I screwed up one of the crusts but we still had 3 and that was perfect to make a pizza for Sara (cheese, no sauce, fresh basil), Lin (sauce,cheese,olives,sweet red peppers and pineapple) and me (sauce,cheese,pepperoni). I baked them for 5 minutes in a 500 oven right on the floor of the oven. I moved them to the bottom rack for 4 minutes and they were perfect.
I also made a homemade pizza sauce adapting this recipe from Closet Cooking. I added some fresh basil and a little bit of sugar.

Yummy! I'm sad I missed all the fun.
well it may become a Friday staple - of course I have to start the dough on Thursday! It was good...I think you'd like it.
