Crab Bisque
A couple of months ago, right before Christmas, Linda asked me to find a recipe to make lobster bisque. Since we live in the Northwest I thought I'd change this just slightly and surprise her with a delicious crab bisque. So yesterday I went out and bought two beautiful Dungeness crabs and brought them home. I cleaned and cracked the crabs, saving the shells, and extracted the lovely crab meat. I made crab stock and then the bisque. Unfortunately while blending the bisque as I was preparing it I managed to drop part of the blender down in the bottom and blended some plastic into the bisque. Fortunately I had not put all of it into the blender so I managed to still finish part of it and we both had small bowlfuls of delicious and creamy crab bisque.
I had crab stock leftover so I put that in the freezer so I could make it again another time - hopefully without incident...
Here's the recipe - http://www.elise.com/recipes/archives/001800crab_bisque.php
