Good Morning Taipei

And soon goodbye to Taipei. I always wish I had a bit more time in Taipei but I'm always just passing through. It's either off to work the next day in Taichung or Tainan or I'm ready to go home - like it is today. This week has been very hectic and trying but overall we made a lot of progress. The folks I work with in Taiwan are very kind and try very hard to make things easy while we're here.

But its time to go home. Its 8am on Saturday. I'm looking out the 17th floor window of my hotel and I can see the very top of Taipei 101 in the distance. On the street there are people and scooters and taxis. The limo (hilarious I know) is picking me up at 9:30 for the airport. I'm flying from Taipei to Seoul - about a 3 hr flight; I then have a couple of hrs at the Seoul airport and then flying from Seoul to Seattle. I'll get in about 1:00pm Saturday in Seattle - just in time for do-over day! Fortunately I get to fly business class which makes the flying definitely easier. I've made this trip in coach...and it ain't fun.

It's been over a year since I've been in Taiwan and I always wonder if this will be the last time. I expect I'll be back but you never know. Our next trip to Asia is in a month and its to Japan. Not only am I going to Tokyo but also to Osaka and Shizouka. At least I get to go to some different places.
